Summer at Sowelu is a program for adults and youth dedicated to making the unique creative process of the Sowelu Ensemble available to our community.
At Sowelu we believe in promoting creativity in all walks of life and fostering tools for creative expression through the theater arts. The ensemble tools at Sowelu employ movement, writing and acting skills to awaken the artistic voice in each of us.
Since 1998, Summer at Sowelu workshops have provided creative experiences for professional and non-professional artists of all ages. Both young artists and adults have explored the artistic tool kit of the Sowelu community to expand their personal creativity.
Historically, Summer at Sowelu has also provided workshops for special groups. Past outreach workshops have included workshops for at risk teens, incarcerated adults, and other unique populations. Give us a call to discuss how Sowelu might best serve your group.
