Picnic on the Battlefield
Picnic on the Battle Field, a one-act play by Fernando Arrabal, is a 20th century absurdist view of our modern times of war, politics and existential states told through theater, dance and puppetry.
The evening will involve several local artists and businesses, introducing the members and activities of the Create Enterprise Consortium to the community.
Picnic on the Battle Field is directed by Barry Hunt. Choreography was developed by Keith Goodman and puppetry by Amy Gray. The play's cast includes Sowelu ensemble members Lorraine Bahr and Jeb Pearson along with guest artists, Michael Fetters and John Breen. Read the Oregonian review»
Following the play we'll present the poetry of Garcia Lorca and classical Spanish guitar performed by Joaquin Lopez and Stan Olmsted.
Picnic on the Battle Field will run from April 14, 2005 through
April 30, 2005 on Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm. Sunday
performances are at 4:00 pm.
