Quiet City
Co-presented by Sowelu and Film Action Oregon, Quiet City is the second feature of film maker Aaron Katz.
The Austin Chronical calls Quiet City "...a Terrance Malick film for the new lost generation." Following it's August 29th premier at the IFC Center in New York, Sowelu will co-present this film around the United States.
The Portland premier on September 14th will also feature an encore presentation of his first feature, Dance Party, USA, named one of the Top Ten Films of 2006 by the NY Sun.

A hilarious comedy of manners set in Americas Middle West, Star of Hope was the 1995 Drammy Winner for Outstanding Original Production in Portland Theater. Star of Hope presents a compassionate story of a struggle for truthful emotional connections among family and friends in a Wisconsin household.
Directed by Associate Artistic Director Lorraine Bahr, Star of Hope features performers Nan Gatchel and Rick Mullins along with a troupe of Sowelu regulars.
